Meet the Melbourne Joomla User Group at the Australian Business & IT Expo 08 from Sat 16 Aug until Mo 18 August 2008 at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, Southbank. Members of the Australian Joomla community can dowload free expo tickets below.

August Topic: Ask the Expert
We had an extremely good show-and-tell meeting in July, which highlights the number of questions you all have about everything Joomla! So the August meeting will be question time. Come along and ask your questions of our panel of experts (err, that's YOU, our members). New members welcome and this will be another good meeting to start.

Our new venue worked out so well, we are staying there in August. Thanks Matthew + the Capture crew.

Bootcamp?

There is some talk of holding a Joomla! Bootcamp in Sydney, aimed at the more technical Joomla! user/professional/developer. More info here: http://www.joomlatools.org/

It will probably be around $250 for the day - a unique opportunity to attend bootcamp led by Johan Janssens, until recently a lead developer of Joomla! Learn skills that will boost your business. Bootcamps will also be held in Perth and NZ.

The next Melbourne Joomla User Group meeting will be on Wed, 23 July, preparing for the Abite Expo 2008, 16-18 Aug at the exhibition centre. This is a great opportunity for the group and also for every small business owner in our group to get in touch with potential clients. We will be discussing details during the meeting.
