The term "Committee" will refer to the 2019 Joomla Australia Site Awards Committee. There will be a corum of at least three members to make decisions.

The term "Contest" will refer to the 2019 Joomla Australia Site Awards Contest.

The term "Judging Panel" will refer to five international Joomla community members with no conflicting interests with Australian Joomla community members.

By entering the Contest, participants accept these Terms and Conditions of Entry.

  • Only one site entry is permitted per ticket purchase*. A site may only be submitted once per Contest.
  • To qualify, all participants must declare that the entry:
    • is a project on which they have personally made a contribution
    • possesses an SSL certificate and the URL must begin with "https"
    • has been developed by a person/agency that is located within Oceania**
    • is live and publicly available for the period of 1 July 1 2019 to 4 August 2019
    • all content on the site is appropriate for all ages and is not in violation of JoomlaDay Australia 2019's Code of Conduct

* The Committee reserves the right to increase the entry maximum to two in the event that there are insufficient submissions. If this increase is implemented, all participants will be notified and public announcements will be made on the JoomlaDay Australia 2019 website and social media channels.

** The region of "Oceania" for this contest includes and is limited to Australia, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Fiji, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Samoa, Kiribati, Tonga, Micronesia, Marshall Islands, Palau, Tuvalu, Nauru, Cook Islands, Niue and Tokelau. 

Additional terms and details

  1. Participants must be over the age of 15.
  2. Entries must submit to brief audits of eligibility if requested by the Committee.
  3. Participants agree to permit the Committee to use their entry details for publication and competition purposes.
  4. The entry deadline is 30 June 2019. Judges will begin reviewing sites on 1 July 2019.
  5. Entry into the Contest is free for all JoomlaDay Australia 2019 ticket holders.
  6. A maximum of four awards will be delivered for each of the following categories:
    • Best Overall
    • Best User Experience
    • Most Innovative
    • Most Attractive
  7. Finalists in each category will be announced on 3 August 2019.
  8. Finalists will be entered into a limited pool of entries by which the attending JoomlaDay Australia 2019 audience will vote for a People’s Choice winner.
  9. Category winners and the People’s Choice winner will be announced on 3 August 2019.
  10. Participants are eligible to win multiple category awards with a single entry.
  11. Participants are not required to attend JoomlaDay Australia 2019 for their entry to be eligible for awards.
  12. Participants whose entry is not selected as a Finalist will receive brief, confidential, and constructive feedback to explain the outcome.
  13. Participants who are selected as categorical Finalists or Winners will receive a glowing public review during the JoomlaDay Australia 2019 event.
  14. Finalists and Winners will be:
    • publicised on the JoomlaDay Australia 2019 website, and potentially the Joomla Australia website
    • receive a trophy
    • earn digital badges for the entry and the participant/agency to use at their own discretion.
  15. A number of guest judges from outside of Oceania will be elected by the Committee to review entries. The Committee will support the panel of judges but will not influence the judges' decisions.
  16. The decisions of the Committee and Judging Panel regarding eligibility and entry evaluation is final and binding.
  17. The Committee reserves the right to disqualify any participants who are deemed to have breached any of these conditions.
